Freedom from Traditional Braces

Posted on May 27th, 2015

Start on a new path toward straighter teeth! Traditional braces, with their brackets and wires and colored bands can be both uncomfortable and unsightly. If you’ve always wanted a more beautiful smile but were scared away by the thought of braces that made you look like a teenager, now is the time to start that change. Make a pledge to ensure your own well-being is a priority and schedule a consultation with Dr. Dassani.

Your experience with Invisalign will begin with precise impressions to make sure everything fits properly. Measurements will then be sent off to create a series of aligners, custom-made to fit your mouth and teeth throughout the process of creating your ideal smile.

You should wear these trays as much as possible throughout the day, removing them only to eat or drink, or very rarely for special occasions. Each aligner should be worn about two to three weeks before it is switched out for a new one, and the entire process will take an average of nine to fifteen months.

Invisalign was created to affect your daily life as little as possible. Because they are virtually clear and don’t have any metal in them, practically no one will be able to tell that you are wearing them. This also helps prevent them from rubbing painfully on your sensitive soft tissues or causing a drastic speech impediment. Some patients may experience a slight pressure in the gums or a mild lisp, both of which should disappear quickly after beginning treatment.

If you have any questions about Invisalign or how it can help give you your dream smile, don’t hesitate to call Dr. Dassani and make an appointment.

Six Month Smiles

Six Month Smiles is a new way of wearing traditional braces without the traditional look. There are two main ways this treatment is different from any other you have considered trying: the brackets and wires are nearly invisible and the process only takes an average of six months.

After a consultation with Dr. Dassani, we will figure out how long your particular experience will take, but the average treatment time is only six months, which is much shorter than traditional braces. It may seem drastic to move teeth that fast, but rest assured that we have gone to special training to make sure that your Six Month Smiles process is as safe as possible.

Some of the key ingredients in our braces treatment are the use of special nickel titanium wires, Lucid-Lok™ clear brackets and Chameleon™ tooth-colored wires, which are barely visible. We combine these with special techniques to concentrate on the cosmetic look of your teeth, rather than your bite, and work to straighten the teeth most visible when you smile.

Although Six Month Smiles may not be for every patient, most adults over the age of 15 qualify for this treatment, especially if you’re not looking for major alterations to your bite. It poses no more risk of damage to your teeth, roots, or gums than traditional braces and can often be cheaper!

If you live in the Houston area and are looking for an alternative to traditional braces contact Dr. Dassani today to learn more about Six Month Smiles!
